I recently returned to full-time work in the corporate world, taking on a new job as a Quality Assurance Officer for a manufacturing company. After six years of self-employment, with four of those spent writing as L. Starla, this is a huge change for me. I’m a little sad that I couldn’t just spend the rest of my days as a full-time author, but this writing gig isn’t exactly paying the bills, at least not yet. On the plus side, my new workplace is full of great people, and I have money spare to invest in my author business. That’s right—I’m still writing so, don’t fear because L. Starla is still here. I know plenty other indie authors who manage this on top of full-time jobs, so I’ll make it work. I just need to make some adjustments. For one thing, I need to put one of my serial fiction projects on hold. Apologies to anyone following my vampire fiction—Well I’ll Be Damned. I’ve had serious writer’s block with it lately, plus with everything else on my plate, it’s just going to have to drop to the bottom of my priority list. You can still expect to see season 2 of The Dark Matter Between Our Hearts starting next month.
With my new job, I’ve needed to delegate much of my social media marketing and various admin tasks to a virtual assistant—Priyanka. She is spending lots of time working behind the scenes, but if you follow me on Facebook, you might also see her posting on my behalf sometimes. Without further ado, I’d love to introduce….
Priyanka Mukherjee
I am Priyanka Mukherjee, my loved one calls me Piu. I am a Psychology graduate with MBA in HR, and Marketing.
As a person, I give very different vibes to different people. People who know me, my friends, would say that I am the most talkative, and crazy. People who don’t know me would say, I am reserved.
As for my personal life, I am happily married, I have a 5-year-old daughter and a lot of plant babies.
I have been writing and blogging for the last two years, l love my new role as a Virtual Assistant, and I am looking forward to working with Laelia Starla.
