With a terrible twist of fate, Ana landed in the The Tomb—a prison run by inmates—disguising herself as a man. The leader of the Tomb discovers her secret and decides to keep her for himself. However, Ana has different plans , ones that involve using Ax to escape this hell.
I enjoy reading gritty, dystopian, and steamy romance novels. The very first thing I liked about the book was the gorgeous cover. This narrative intrigued me. We learned about Axle and his coping mechanisms through some of the gangs in the Tomb, and Theo.
The relationship between Ana and Ax is really fascinating. How the darkness of Ax attracts Ana is passionately portrayed. Ethan was an excellent supporting cast member too.
Overall, I liked the book a lot and loved author Ella Burns’ writing style.
I hope to read more by the author, and recommend lovers of dark romance give it a go.
